Mommy's School

Hello!

I keep working on my "Quarantine Journal" and today's page is called "Mommy's School".

I am a teacher an I teach 6th grade so you would think that I can teach my 1st grader just fine....absolutely not! haha it has been a big challenge for me but I think both of us have figured it out already. Since my husband uses the office, my kitchen table space has became a classroom with ABC's and drawings on the walls and school supplies everywhere.

For this page, I got some inspiration from the TIC TAC TOE Challenge blog using pink, yellow and orange on it. I really like the result. I added a digi stamp from Paper Smooches  that I thought went perfect with the school topic.

I hope you like it and you find some inspiration. I'll see you tomorrow to show you my next pages!

A Spring Album

Hello!!! Today I am very excited because I have been working on this project for days and I finally finished it! I think this is the biggest mini album I have made from scratch and I am super happy with the result. I hope you like it too! I followed a youtube tutorial by Alua Cid , she has the tutorial in both Spanish and English. I customized a lot of the decoration, specially the cover. I got some inspiration from More than Words Challenge Blog which has a challenge of using birds and/or bugs and I thought it would fit perfect for this Album, and it did! The second requirement of the challenge was the inspiration word "Everyday" and, to me, nothing represents this word better than a scrapbooking Album because there is where I record my everyday, where I put all my family's memories and where the future generations will know how we lived our lives. And that's how this Album turned out! This is the cover, I used the collection "Take me Away"

Happy with stamps!

Hello!! One of my favorite materials to use in scrapbooking is embellishments, and I did some shopping and got some new collections, then when I was putting photos on my Arkansas album I realized that I didn't have many embellishments to use! Today I want to share with you a mini layout I made using stamps and shimmer mist as my main embellishments I was very surprised to find out how many pretty effect you can get using only stamps and some paint Yep, just paper, stamps and ink. Isn't it pretty?! I love shimmer mists so much! I hope you like it and that you get some inspiration!  Bye! Staying at home

Hello!! I hope everybody is staying safe and having some extra time to do what you like the most. I am spending a lot of quality time with my husband and my son so I have to say that I'm taking the best out of this "quarantine". And of course I cannot let pass this opportunity to document my day by day. So I will be showing you some of the pages of my journal as I complete them. I hope you like it! My first page is titled "A New Reality". We were in our family vacation in Arkansas during spring break so all the restrictions due to Covid-19 started while we were there. By the time we came back home in Dallas they issued the Shelter in place order so it was like coming back home in a new reality because everything had changed. However, I always try to look at the positive side of things so I have a happy sun stamp from Paper Smooches  and I tried to make it as bright as I could. Changes can bring their good things too! I hope you like my pro
